Old Lyme, Connecticut
Restroom Trailer Rental FAQ
Do you deliver restroom trailers to Old Lyme, CT?
Yes. Old Lyme is a regular shoreline delivery for us, around fifty minutes east of our New Haven base, and we cover the whole town — Lyme Street and the historic district, the shore associations, and the properties out along the river. Delivery, setup, leveling, breakdown and pickup are included in the rental.
Can you get a trailer down the narrow lanes at Sound View or Old Colony Beach?
Usually, and it is worth a conversation rather than a guess. The lanes in the beach associations are narrow, parked on both sides in season, and often have low wires or tree limbs over them. Tell us the lane and send a photo of the turn in from the main road, and we will tell you honestly whether the unit fits, whether a smaller one is the better call, or whether the sensible placement is at the top of the lane.
Will a restroom trailer sink on a lawn near the marsh?
Not if it is placed sensibly, which is why we ask about ground rather than about square footage. A loaded trailer needs firm footing, and lawns close to the marsh or the river can be soft well into the spring. In practice we set slightly back on solid ground, use boards where they help, and keep the unit out of your photographs either way. We will not risk rutting a lawn to save fifty feet of hose.
What do I need to provide at an Old Lyme property?
An outdoor spigot and a standard 110V outlet within roughly 100 feet of where the trailer sits — we bring the hose and the extension cord. Plenty of Old Lyme placements are nowhere near either, especially down toward the water or on a cottage with summer-only service, and that is routine: we bring fresh-water tanks and a generator and the trailer runs completely independent.
Are the trailers warm enough for a shoulder-season event here?
Yes, and at the river mouth that matters more than most places. Every unit is heated as well as air-conditioned, with insulated plumbing, so a May or October evening on an exposed shore lawn is still a warm room with hot running water. The wind coming off the Sound is what people underestimate about this stretch of coast.
How far ahead should I book an Old Lyme summer date?
Early. Summer Saturdays on the Connecticut shoreline go first across the whole region, and the larger 3- and 4-stall units go first within that. Reserving costs nothing and holds the size you want. Midweek and off-season dates are far more flexible, and last-minute requests are still worth a call — cancellations come up.
