Restroom Trailer Rental FAQ
Do you deliver restroom trailers this far east — to Sterling, CT?
Yes. Sterling and the rest of the Quiet Corner are within our service area, though it is a real drive from our New Haven base — closer to an hour and a half than an hour. That is worth knowing for two reasons: it is folded into the quote rather than sprung on you afterwards, and it is why we ask for a Sterling date earlier than we would for a shoreline one.
My property has no water or power near the tent. Can you still deliver?
Yes, and in Sterling it is the normal case rather than the exception. Where there is a spigot and a 110V outlet within about 100 feet we use them and bring the hose and cord; where there is not, we arrive with fresh-water tanks and a quiet generator and the trailer runs completely self-contained. Tell us which when you enquire so we load the truck accordingly.
Will the trailer use my well or drain into my septic?
The trailer carries its own waste tank and discharges nothing into your septic — we pump it out and take it away. Water is up to you: a garden hose uses very little, but if you would rather an event did not draw on the well at all, we bring our own fresh-water tanks and the unit never touches the property's supply.
Can you get a trailer into a hay field or down a farm track?
Usually, and it is the right question to ask early. The units self-level, so grass, gravel and grade are all normal placement. What decides it is the gate width, the overhead limbs along the track, and whether the ground stays firm under a loaded trailer — soft ground after rain is the one thing that moves a placement. Send a photo of the entrance and we will tell you honestly.
Are the trailers heated for a cold-weather event out here?
Yes. Every unit has heat as well as air conditioning, with insulated, freeze-protected plumbing, so an October or November event in the Quiet Corner is a warm room with hot running water. On an exposed field with nothing to break the wind, that is the difference between guests using the restroom and guests going home early.
How far ahead should I book a Sterling date?
Earlier than you would for a town nearer our base. A Sterling delivery takes a full run out of the day, so agreeing the date in advance is how we make sure it is available at all — particularly for a Saturday between May and October. Reserving costs nothing and holds the trailer size you want.
