The Green, the Parks, and Public Events
New Haven's public calendar is unusually heavy for a city its size — the festivals and concerts on the Green, the parks along the shore at Lighthouse Point, East Rock and Edgerton, and the neighbourhood feasts and street events that close a block for a weekend. All of them share the same shape: several thousand people arriving at a site whose permanent facilities were built for an ordinary afternoon.
That is a restroom trailer job rather than a portable-toilet one, particularly where families are on site all day. Real flushing toilets, running-water sinks, lighting and climate control change how long people are willing to stay. On a large or spread-out site we place two units well apart rather than one bank in a corner, because walking distance is usually what creates a queue rather than the number of stalls. Permits for events on city property are arranged by the organiser; we supply equipment specifications and a certificate of insurance for the application. See the festival and public event page.
Weddings, Wooster Square, and Backyard Events
The private side runs from full weddings down to a graduation party in a Westville back garden. New Haven's residential lots are older and tighter than the suburbs around it, and the city's prettiest settings — the Wooster Square blocks in blossom, an East Rock garden, a converted downtown space — tend to have almost no restroom capacity relative to the crowd they can hold.
A luxury trailer solves that without sending a hundred and fifty guests through the house or the venue's single accessible bathroom. Inside it is porcelain, running-water vanities, mirrors, heat and air conditioning and hardwood-style floors. On a city lot the constraint is usually the approach rather than the unit, so tell us the street and where the tent goes when you request a quote — one-way streets, parking and overhead wires are the things worth settling before the day. The wedding and private party pages cover sizing.
University Weekends, Theatres, and Downtown Job Sites
New Haven also runs on institutional and construction calendars. Commencement and reunion weekends concentrate enormous numbers of people onto a campus for a few days, arts venues run seasons that outlast any event booking, and the medical district and downtown redevelopment keep a steady stream of job sites going.
Long rentals are normal work for us here rather than an exception — one New Haven theatre company kept units for roughly six weeks, and said so in a review we did not write. For a job site the questions are duration, service cadence and whether the unit can sit on unfinished ground: the trailers self-level, so a graded lot or a stone-dust pad is routine, weekly and monthly terms are priced well below event rates, and units run on tanks and a generator where water and power are not connected yet. Our commercial page sets out net 30, purchase orders, W-9 and same-day certificates of insurance.
